# RDWS (Rural Development Welfare Society) is a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO) working towards ‘breaking the circle of poverty in the lives people’. Since its inception, RDWS has been concentrating all its efforts on the welfare and development of weaker and deprived sections of the society. Starting as a small organization in a rural hamlet, the organization has come a long way and presently operating in 85 villages with a well-trained field force.

This organization has even acquired the capability of conducting training programs in different issues and gained the full confidence of target groups. The first few months were spent in getting familiarized with the target groups and to remove their apprehensions. The dedicated team members were conducted motivation camps and village level meetings regularly to discuss the various problems faced by the target groups. The target communities being illiterate and highly superstitious, it used to take more time in building confidence and faith.

RDWS is registered under societies registration Act of 1860 as on 4th January 1991 with No. 4 of 91. The organization soon got registered under FCR Act of 1976 with Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India with No. 010370049 that allowed it to receive foreign contribution. Donations to this organization are exempted for tax relief under section 12A & 80G of Income Tax Act of 1961.
